Even though the weather was causing up a stir on opening night of Bloomin Fest Temple 2013, American Idol's Savannah Votion performed on stage just before the down pour hit downtown Temple on Friday night.

With staff meteorologist Bill Hecke keeping an eye on the sever weather, event organizers were able to get Savannah Votion on stage to perform a few songs before the weather rolled in. Savannah performed in front of hundreds of Tejano fans that braved the severe weather warning and were not disappointed in the great Tejano music that flowed from this up and coming artist from San Antonio.

After the performance I was able to speak with Savannah backstage about American Idol and what is on the horizon for this new Tejano artist. Listen to the audio below.
